Academic, social-emotional, and career development of all students

The Guidance Department at Schlarman Academy provides services regarding the academic, social-emotional, and career development of all students. The Guidance Director can answer questions related to course selection and scheduling as well as scholarships, college, and post-graduation plans. In addition, individual and/or group counseling can be provided for any students in need of such services.

Curriculum Guide

The Curriculum Guide lists all of the graduation requirements, course offerings, and recommended pathways for high school students at Schlarman Academy (North Campus). Students and parents are encouraged to utilize this resource when selecting classes for registration.

Schlarman Academy (North Campus) graduation requirements exceed the minimum ones established by the State of Illinois. These meet the basic admission requirements for a student planning on attending either an in-state or out-of-state college or university.

Additional Graduation Requirements

1. Mandatory attendance of a religious retreat each year.

2. 100 hours of community service with the Faith Alive program.

It is recommended that students complete at least 25 service hours by the end of each school year. Seniors who have not completed at least 80% of their service hours by third quarter will forfeit the right to participate in all extra-curricular activities. They may resume participating in activities once this requirement has been fulfilled.
