Welcome to the Schlarman Academy website. We thank you for taking time to visit our website and learn about more about our school. We are currently gearing up for the 2018-19 school year and I am excited for this year to officially begin. The summer has gone by quickly and we are finalizing plans for the upcoming school year. We are looking forward to an exciting year welcoming new families, making new friends, learning about new cultures and discovering new learning.

Please note that there have been many changes to the parent/student handbook. The updated handbook will be uploaded to our website in the very near future. If you need a paper copy, please contact our office to let us know.

As a reminder, all Kindergarten, 6th grade, 9th grade, new pre-school students, and any transfer students will need to have their physical forms with updated immunization records turned in by the first day of school (August 15th). Students participating in athletics are required to have a current physical on file before the first game/competition.

A health history form that must be on file for each student of the Academy. This is a requirement for students to go on field trips throughout the school year.

A reminder that all students need to be dressed in school uniforms each day. Special dress days are noted on the calendar on the website. Please check the calendar for special dress days. Please consult the dress code on the website for the approved types of school uniforms. Shorts can be worn first and fourth quarter of the school year. Only approved dress code fleece, sweaters and sweatshirts will be allowed in classrooms. North Campus PE shirts can be purchased at the picnic.

Please call the school or email if you have any questions. If we are not in, please feel free to leave a message at either building and we will get back to you.  Elementary Building–217-442-3880 and High School building–217-442-2725. Email:

We will continue to strive for excellence while instilling respect, responsibility and character. To do so, we need your help and cooperation.  We extend a warm invitation for you to get involved in your school. We want you to visit your child’s classroom, meet his/her teachers, and share in his/her learning.  Please make us aware of any school problem you or your child is experiencing. We will attempt to solve it together and make Schlarman Academy the best it can be.

May God Bless your family on these warm summer days. Take time the rest of summer for family with picnics, fun in the sun and rest in the shade. We will see you soon!
